DESCRIPTION:Location:York County EMA\, 149 Jordan Springs Rd.\, Alfred\, ME 04002 \nRegister here \n\nYork County Emergency Management Agency is excited to announce we will be hosting ICS 100/200\, Instructed by Scott Gagne of York County Emergency Management. We are pleased to offer these courses in-person to allow for a better learning experience from class participation and face-to-face instruction. \nThe goal of ICS 100 is to introduce the Incident Command System and provides the foundation for higher level ICS trainings. ICS 200 discusses the Incident Command System for first responders and provides training for personnel who are likely to assume a supervisory positions within ICS. \nUpon completion of this course\, students will be able to: \n\nDescribe how the National Incident Management System Management Characteristics relate to Incident Command\, Unified Command\, and the foundation of ICS and its roles.\nDescribe the delegation of authority process\, implementing authorities\, management by objectives\, and preparedness plans and objectives.\nIdentify ICS organizational components\, the Command Staff\, the General Staff\, and ICS tools.\nDescribe different types of briefings and meetings.\nExplain flexibility within the standard ICS organizational structure.\nExplain transfer of command briefings and procedures.\nUse ICS to manage an incident or event.\nExplain the principles and basic structure of ICS.\nDescribe the ICS functional areas and the roles of the Incident Commander and Command Staff.\nDescribe the General Staff roles within ICS.\n\nOther Information: This course is offered free of charge and lunch will be provided.
